Fun for an all girl murder mystery party!
The play is the most flexible format for small groups.
A bunch of girls went to the movies to see a romantic comedy and when the lights came up – Josephine was found dead in her seat. Was it poisoned popcorn? Find out what’s really been going on.
Perfect for an all girl get-together!

“And writing involves dancing at my club? I saw Josephine there with a very handsome man with lots of tats. They weren’t just dancing. I know my club gets crowded, but you don’t need to be that close.”
The suspects are:
I’m a chemistry and biology teacher. I’ve set up a lab at home. I’m hoping my side business will bring in some extra income. I’m trying to develop a brain-enhancing herbal supplement. I’ve been experimenting on myself.
I run a really cool bar on the west side of town. It looks like a pinball parlor but when you release the balls on the old-fashioned pinball machine, you find that a secret door opens to an invite-only nightclub. I’ve called it “Slapsies”.
I’m an African heiress. I’m a bit like a famous celebrity you all know except my parents owned a diamond mine rather than a chain of hotels. I’m dealing with various parties to get back my own money. It’s complex and involves various currencies and foreign banks. I thought I could trust these girlfriends, but now I am not so sure.
I’m not sure who I am. I’m suffering from amnesia. Odd things keep coming back to me… snippets of foreign languages, martial arts moves, memories of intense romantic encounters and so on. I’m trying to piece together the details.
I’m a personal trainer at a gym near here. That’s how I met most of these fantastic ladies. We train hard but we have fun. And we also party together, when our men let us.
I’m the projectionist and also the ticket seller during the daytime when I am often the only one here. To be honest, I just put the movie on and then I left. I don’t like romantic comedies anyway because the plots are always so weak and they’re usually tear jerkers too. This movie’s been on for a while, so there were just the seven women watching it.
Although, I am creative, I’m not a painter like “O’Keeffe”. I’m a renovation expert and an interior designer. I specialize in warehouse loft renovations.
(pronounced “May”) I create wearable robot technologies for a living. Sometimes I try out the suits on myself, but I never wear them in public, because I don’t like being stared at. I’m Asian-American.

We had such a great time. We played with 12 ladies for a Galentines dinner. Made for great laughter, clean fun, and a good escape for single ladies from Valentines! Was super easy for everyone to play, even if they came with no background knowledge.

I used this murder mystery for my teen’s 17th birthday party. The kids were really excited to be a part of it. I liked how there was no questionable material that her friends’ parents would object to.
My suggestion is to pare down the script. Some of the kids were losing interest by the third act. Also using a notebook or a cute printable to take notes would be great!

Thank you so much for your feedback. We are gradually revising all our kits and making them a little less wordy so they will finish sooner.
