A Challenging Mystery

Bonnie Kassen has been using Merri Mysteries for a number of years for her events. This time her Church group decided to use “Who Stole The Cookies?” The photo shows how well they dressed for the event. You may recognise characters like Little Red Riding Hood, Aladdin, Sherlock Holmes and so on.

They went to a lot of trouble and they even gave their food dishes, alternative literary names.

The overview of this mystery is: “As you know last night in the library, when many characters were out of their books, a crime was committed, grim and grave, right in our own library. When Mrs. Bookworm, the librarian, opened the fundraising cookie cupboard this morning she was shocked. The cupboard, where the fundraising cookies had been kept, was empty.”

The suspects are Alice (from Alice In Wonderland), Cinderella, Snow White, Peter Pan, Little Red Riding Hood, Dorothy (from The Wonderful Wizard Of Oz), Goldilocks and Aladdin.

You can play this game with as few as 8 people or up to 104. It can be used as a play for small parties and in an interactive “meet and mingle” way for large groups.
