Welcome to our forty-seventh PartyChitChat.

Here is our news:

  • I am sorry this newsletter is a bit late. We have had delays due to a computer crash. And I am about to go on a trip to the USA, so there is a lot to finish off before I go.
  • Work is continuing on the mystery set in Hawaii. I am going there on my way to the USA, so hopefully this will provide me with enough real-life material to finish it.
  • We have completed a play version of Murder In Outer Space for 10 to 11 guests. We used to sell this kit many years ago, but it has been substantially rewritten so it is now good, clean family fun. It's the year 2200. French space entrepreneur Pascal Cannon has been suffocated in his sleep the night before. Apart from being a very clever space cookie, he was also a major inter-galactic property developer and an investor. A number of suspects and friends of the deceased are gathered together at the intergalactic criminal inquiry center for questioning. You can really go wild when dressing up for this mystery as it is up to you to imagine how people of the future will dress!

St Patrick's Day is being officially celebrated on March 15th this year rather than the normal 17th because otherwise it would fall in Holy Week). We recommend The Luck Of The Irish. It has roles for 10 to 16 guests, 17 to 30 or 17 to 50 guests. However, it could be used for up to 90 guests if the additional guests just dress in green. There are "mystery" and "murder mystery" versions.

See Saint Patrick's Day Party Ideas for more tips.

Decoration competition

Our winner is Lori Hennessey (USA).

We are commencing a new competition with a closing date of 15 April 2008 (see decor.htm for details).

Here is Lori's feedback on her party:

"My company played the murder mystery game "Who Killed Santa?" at our company Christmas party this year. What an absolute riot!!! We had so much fun. We enticed our employees to "dress and play" the part by offering a $50 cash prize for the best character portrayal. Wow, that did the trick! Not only did people dress in character, some had props, accents,…many added flair and personality to their character. When it came time to reveal the killer we had several people with the correct answer and had to draw a winner for another $50 prize.

So glad we chose to play this game at our Christmas party. We would do it again. Everyone was involved, there was much laughter and jokes throughout the evening! I would highly recommend this to any company looking to do something fun at a party.
