- We have created some T-Shirt designs which you can print out and
use as prizes during your party. See "Prizes
" for details.
- We have removed references to a "terrorist" from both
"Murder in Outer Space" and "Who Killed Santa?".
Updated files are available from the download pages for these kits.
- As the copyright requirements on our kits states, our kits are only
to be used for personal use. We are preparing a special service for
companies who wish to use our kits in a professional way (eg restaurants,
bed and breakfasts). Apart from our standard kits, as part of this
licensing agreement you would also receive access to a special exclusive
customized kit. Please send us an email via info@merrimysteries.com
for details.

- We have finished a new mystery called "The
Love Letter ". It is set in 1807 and is about a young Lord
who dies with a love letter in his hand. The mystery is to find out
which young lady killed him and for which lady the love letter was
intended. Although the first version is for 9 ladies and 2 men, we
may create versions for ladies only. Please send us an email via info@merrimysteries.com
if you would like one of these versions.
- Unfortunately, we have had to delay writing the baseball mystery
called "Death On The Mound" for yet another month. Our apologies to
all the baseball fans out there. Please let us know if you are interested
in this new kit via email to info@merrimysteries.com
and we will let you know when it is ready.

Kerreen sent in this feedback re her "Murdering The Boss"
party:
What a perfect evening it was. I invited 14 friends from my last place
of employment who really needed a break and their new boss was driving
them all nuts! I thought the theme was great!
Many of the characters had never participated in such an event but
they came dressed and ready to have a great time. As several people
had not been to my house I made sure the 8 foot all cactus standing
on the porch with red hot chili pepper lights would catch anyone's eye.
The room was decorated in bright colors with a taste of
Mexico from the food to the frozen drinks.
At our parties we actually seal each act in an envelope and place
on a picture holder as a place card in front of each plate it keeps
them out of the way and easy for people to read and not skip ahead.
We also use a card system where 4 small colored cards are placed next
to the persons place setting and once they have completed all of act
1 clues they turn the card with a one on it over leaving a 2 showing
on the next card indicating you are ready to move on this
helps the host to keep track of where the clues are and who might need
to have time to speak just something we have done.
A night of fun, friends and many many laughs! Enjoy the pictures.
We look forward to our next party.
Annually our family does a party in the fall and we are looking
forward to the upcoming event and maybe this year we will remember to
take pictures of that one! Thanks for adding great joy to an evening
that could otherwise be boring.

Shelly helped organize an office picnic for around 75 guests using "Celebrity
Celebrations" party.
Hi Stephanie:
I just wanted to let you know that we had our party this weekend and
it was a smash! Everyone had such a fun time! Thanks so much for the
updated kit. As soon as we get the film developed I will pass along
some pictures. We will definitely pass your name along.
Thanks again,
Shelly Klag
Stephanie,
I just had to write, and tell you of the wonderful response "The
Search for the Truth" had with my church youth group. Given recent
events, I was unsure how a murder mystery would go over. Fortunately,
everything went well, and all present had a wonderful time.
Our production took place on Saturday, September 22, 2001. The hall
was decorated with red and white checkered table cloths, and mason jars
acted as simple vases. The program was advertised as an audience participation
Mystery Dinner Show, and the players had been given acts one and two,
along with their character sheets, approximately 2 months in advance.
(Act 3 was kept secret because I didn't want them figuring it out).
Tickets were sold for $10.00 which included the dinner as well as the
show. The dinner consisted of a salad, spaghetti w/roll, and dessert.
We tried to keep our costs low, since the goal of the program was to
raise funds for our youth group.
Unfortunately, several of our youth backed out at the last minute, and
adults were called upon to fill some of the teenage roles. They were
great!! Detective Sam Cummings was turned into Samantha Cummings, and
my only regret is that no one took a picture! She was a cross between
Columbo and Mimi from Drew Carey.
Everyone arrived to the hall to decorate and prepare the meal, in character.
They were so into it, that they would not respond unless called by their
character name. (This was quite annoying at times, but I created the
monsters so I couldn't complain).
We had approximately 35 guests in attendance. The characters greeted
them, and served them throughout the night. In addition, 13 audience
members were called upon to read clues. After Act 3, everyone was given
a card to write their name, and guess "Who Done It?" Five
audience members guessed correctly, and received a CD holder in the
design of a basketball.
I was so into the show, that I forgot my video camera was ready and
waiting in the next room. Therefore, I did not get any pictures the
entire night.
The Search for the Truth was a huge success, and the kids (and audience)
are looking forward to our next production.
I am sure that I will be contacting you soon to get another mystery.
They are fun and simple to do, and fairly low cost.
Sincerely,
Carol Ferdinand
