Welcome to our forty-forth PartyChitChat.

Here is our news:

  • We have given most of our website a new fresh look and we intend to redo the remaining pages as soon as we can.
  • Downloadable drama: We only had two respondents to our question so we have assumed that there is not a lot of interest in having our plays recorded. So we have put this project on hold. We would like to thank the two people who did respond. They both received free mystery party games for their efforts.

  • We are working on a new party set in Hawaii as we had a number of clients requesting a kit suitable for a luau party. At this stage, it looks like it will be a mystery not a murder and good clean family fun. It may take some time to complete as we may need a trip to Hawaii to make sure it is authentic but we will have to wait until we can afford to do this! If you have any suggestions for items you think we should include or if you would like us to let you know when this kit is ready, please email us via info@merrimysteries.com.
  • We are also thinking of adding back some of our spicy kits such as "Murder In Outer Space". We have someone working on making them funnier. These kits will not be suitable for children or teenagers as they will have more adult content. If you would like us to let you know when "Murder In Outer Space" is ready, please email us via info@merrimysteries.com.

In this issue, we have articles about:

Our photo competition winners

Thank you to those who entered the competition this time. The winners are:

We are commencing a new competition with a closing date of 15 September 2007 (see photos.htm for details).

Here is Dave's photo from his "Celebrity Celebrations" party of Linda playing "Fred Astaire":

Decoration competition

Miranda Aitken (Canada) is the winner of our competition. She went to a lot of trouble with her bat decorations around the room and on the table. She also created a great victim's body and crime scene. Here are a few photos from her party:

Miranda sent in this feedback about her party:

"Hi. I would like to enter the decor contest with the following attached pictures. We played Celebrity Celebrations and it was fantastic!

We even made a CD with songs from each character and lip sinked along with it.

Everyone had a great time and we would definitely buy a game again from Merry Mysteries. I am the one who purchased the kit and hope that we win a prize for the decor as I put a lot of detail into my party. We even had loot bags with flashing cups and pins for our guests when they arrived.

Thanks
Miranda Aitken"

Dave sent in this feedback about his party: "These pics were taken last year at a dinner party for my family (I am Groucho, and my wife is Marilyn). I can't choose the best picture, so here are a bunch. [Editor: Linda as Fred Astaire was eventually chosen as the best pic.]

I purchased the mystery Celebrity Celebration. We had a great time - particularly improvising the costumes.

PS we just bought Mystery in the Library for a dinner party this year - with more of my family.

Dave Eissenberg"

Cynthia sent in this feedback about her party:

"Good morning

I would like to enter the attached photo in the photo competition. I have attached a photo of our Murder Mystery (Murder on the Prairie) held on Saturday 16th June. I purchased it on 11 May 2007 for this event which was held in the country at a Woolshed. It fitted the concept of Murder on the Prairie perfectly.

We had such a great time with everyone getting into character even before we were dressed! We even had the body of Richard Woods!

Thank you for a providing the ingredients for a great time.

Regards
Cynthia Hayes"

Here is a photo from Dehaan's "Celebrity Celebrations" party:

Dehaan sent in this feedback about her party:

"Hi there,

I don't know if there's a limit on how many photos can be entered? I've included a couple anyway!

I really enjoyed the meet and mingle, as it made all of my friends from different areas of my life talk to each other and get to know one another as well as trying to solve the murder!

Who's who in the photo:

Vic, De, Mel:
Marilyn Monroe, Janis Joplin, Patsy Cline

Thank you!
~dehaan~
