Soiree To Save The World

This is not a mystery. It is a fun, group thinking game – sort of a cross between a musical and a brainstorming event.

There are the following sections on this page:

Overview

A bunch of friends have gotten together to discuss how they can work together to save the world. They’ve decided to use unique techniques to stimulate their brains so that they can come up with more ideas. That’s why each one has a a phrase they use often and a special gesture when speaking. When you act outside your box, you’re more likely to think outside it too. So be ready for some wild, creative, fun thinking like you’ve never experienced before.

Sample character descriptions

The people participating are:

Guy / Gale (programmer) – Although my work focuses on code, my mind thinks of much bigger things. I’m good at badminton and I like listening to music. I’m afraid of heights and of getting stuck living in the same place doing the same job forever. I thrive on change. I have a bit of a sweet tooth and I know how to bake a cake, mainly because they just don’t make good enough desserts in my opinion. I drive a hybrid car.

Leili / Leyland (artist) – I am a struggling bohemian like most artists. I like creating murals and I also like creating performance art. I work in a coffee shop during the day and create at night. I’m a bit of a flirt when it comes to the opposite gender. I have lots of friends. I am mad about pilates. I like quiche and I also eat a lot of salad and I eat so many bananas my mother calls me monkey-mouth.

Heath / Heather (botanist) – The survival of all animal and plant species is my mission in life. Although I’m a a serious scientist, I’m a tree-hugging hippy at heart. I’m pretty calm most of the time, but people say that when I am angry that I am like an earthquake. I was adopted, but I’m cool with that. Photography is my main hobby and I jog to keep fit. I really like eating raw snap peas, organic ones of course. I drive an electric car.

Raelene / Rae (part-time travel agent and parent) – I’m the one who always seems to be fighting for just causes. I am someone who gets things done. I often run charity fundraisers mainly for my Church. In my opinion people all over the world are the same and bigotry and racism come from just not having met and mixed with enough people. That’s part of why I love my job in travel. My partner is away a lot for work. I love my dogs, my children and my partner. I love Thai food and anything spicy.

Parker / Parkie (business person) – A few generations back, my family started manufacturing fire extinguishers and they still do. I’m the CEO of the company and I have a masters in marketing. I’m not ashamed of my wealth. I just don’t want to squander it. I believe there should be less government regulation and we should pay less taxes. I collect good art. I am married with four children. We have a maid who cooks for us. I can’t cook. I drive a luxury car.

Owena / Owen (medical doctor) – Although I am qualified in orthodox medicine, I am a firm believer in a holistic approach to health. I come from a big family. I write poetry in my spare time but I don’t get much of that unfortunately. I swim laps to keep healthy and I try and eat a balanced diet although I do sometimes give in and eat fried food as I have a weakness in that regard.

Thank you for creating such a delightful Soiree kit.
This kit provided our party participants a great way to experience a joyful and stimulating evening!"

Mags O'Sullivan-Tomich, USA

She said:

"Hi Stephanie,

What a great idea for a party! This kit got everybody involved, got everybody thinking creatively and we (husband and children) had SO MUCH fun. I was delighted at how quickly everybody got into it - adults and children alike. I've been telling my friends about it. I think this kit would work very well as an ice-breaker, and equally well for people who know each other very well, and who get together frequently and want to do something a bit different. I want to try some of the other kits soon."

Nancy Radloff, USA

She said:

"We used it for our camp. it’s a great project for kids – middle schoolers and up."
